The beginning of August means a lot of things as the summer is beginning to come to a close, the main things are football season, cooler weather, and school are all on their way. For most people, the first two aren't things that are a true concern because it doesn't take much effort for them, but that school piece is different. It seems like every year kids need new everything for the school year. This can be daunting to some parents as they try and make ends meet.

One of the things that parents seem to buy a thousand times over at the beginning of the school year is school supplies. It is an inevitable trip to the store that will result in a substantial amount of money leaving your account. Supplies like backpacks, binders, folders, pens, notebooks, pencils, and other things can run up the total but this year Southwest Michigan parents may be able to save a few dollars. There are going to be several school supply drives that will be providing free school supplies for families in Southwest Michigan.

Kzoo Kids uses its resources to make life as exciting and easy as possible for children and families within Kalamazoo County is using its platform to help students and families be successful both at home and at school this year.
