Battle Creek Unites To Find Missing Havanese Named Reiko
The Battle Creek community is coming together to find a lost Havanese dog belonging to a couple, and the search is getting desperate.
The dog has been missing since December 28th, and given he conditions, the owners are hoping she was found and is inside a home, but eagerly waiting her return.

Owner Paula Sammons posted photos and information online for those who are able to bring her home safely. There is a large, no-questions-asked reward for her return:
Our dog Reiko got away from our dog sitter this morning, around 9:00 am on December 28th, near 239 South Avenue, Battle Creek, 49014, at the cross streest of South Avenue and Dickman Road, and also near Oak Hill Cemetery. She is a Havanese, and she has a chip.
Where could she be?
The dog sitter said she was last seen running towards Dickman Road. She means everything to us. Please reply to this if you find her and call 269-744-1568 or 616-821-3555. If you chase her, she will run away from you, so you need to offer her a treat or let her come to you.
Recently, she updated everyone that out of desperation to find her lost family member, and with the added support from the community, they're able to increase the reward for finding this sweet pup:
Given the outpouring of support, love, and the incredible generosity of friends, family, and the community, we are able to maximize the reward to $2,500 with no questions asked for whomever returns Reiko to us. We are incredibly grateful and humbled by the community of support. Thank you all for giving us hope. Again, please know, any AI-generated photos and fake extortions will be detected and turned over to law enforcement immediately.
