Jersey Giants Is Redefining The Sub Sandwich Scene In Michigan

There’s nothing more perfect for lunch than a nice sub sandwich. There are so many great sandwich shops throughout Michigan, but one that is constantly getting recognition has a name that is a little bit misleading.

We recently asked our audience where their favorite sub shops were, and there was an overabundance of people who claimed that the small chain Jersey Giants makes the best subs in Michigan.

If you don’t know too much about them, you would wonder why a sub shop with the name Jersey would be voted as one of Michigan’s favorites. The truth is, these are all over the place, not only in West Michigan, but in East Michigan as well, as their website states:

Although the name may be a little misleading, this chain has been a part of Michigan's culture for quite some time.

Since arriving from the shores of New Jersey in the fall of 1979 to open their first sub shop in East Lansing, The Slocum family have been delivering the same subs that have made them a success through the years.

While we take inspiration from the Jersey way, producing gargantuan subs that contain only the best ingredients available, we are a 100% Michigan-based operation.
