Take A Look Inside This Abandoned $32,000,000 Picnic Basket Building In Ohio
Ohio may catch a lot of crap from us in Michigan, but they have one of the coolest-looking buildings I've ever seen that is in the shape of a picnic basket. The crazy thing is this building, which is currently listed for roughly $32 million is abandoned, but the power is still one.
The building once belonged to The Longaberger Company, which modeled its building out of one of its best-selling items and has been long-known as one of the most unique buildings in the state, as the companies' Wikipedia remembers:
The Longaberger Company was an American manufacturer and distributor of handcrafted maple wood baskets and other home and lifestyle products. The company opened in 1973, was acquired in 2013 by CVSL, Inc., and closed in 2018. Its former corporate headquarters on Ohio's State Route 16 is a local landmark known as the "Big Basket". Built to resemble the company's top-selling product, the "Medium Market Basket", the seven-story edifice is a well-known example of novelty architecture.
Why Is Ohio's Big Basket Vacant Still?
Nobody has yet to purchase the building, which a recent explorer of the building claims is $32 million, however, when it was listed in 2021 it was up for grabs for just over $6 million.
There is a video below this photo gallery that shows one man's journey through this historic building, showing the still working conditions and even traveling to the roof:
