Now that school is back in session, the one major thing that parents are starting to dread isn't necessarily the early wake-up times, getting the kids ready for school, or even preparing their lunches. The new nightmare parents have to deal with is INSANELY long drop-off lines at the school.

Every morning, parents who drop off their kids are forced to sit in long lines as they wait to pull up in front of the designated drop-off area to let their kids out for school. One such line that has halted traffic at W. Columbia in Battle Creek is the Lakeview Middle School drop-off.

Parents who are dropping off their kids have to sit in the line, and the only place they can drop them off is in the circle off 28th Street.

Because there are hundreds of cars, traffic in the area is a nightmare, and what should be a quick drop off requires at least a half hour to an hour departure time, depending on whether they have more than one kid who goes to more than one school.

One parent went viral in 2018 for her post about the drop-off line, and the humorous psychology behind it:

I’m only going to say this once. If you have to bathe and dress your kid, comb their hair, scramble them an egg and write them a send off letter before they can exit the car- YOU DO NOT BELONG IN THE SCHOOL DROP OFF LINE. Only people who raised their kids to jump out of the car with backpacks loaded like they are storming the beaches of Normandy while the car is at a slow roll are allowed in the drop off line. I will be giving stink eye warnings today but tomorrow I’m issuing citations.

How much time do you spend in the drop-off line?
