Multiple Michigan Cities Among Dirtiest In America
For years now, humans have been trying to turn their habits around after realizing that some things that were a part of the everyday routine are ruining the Earth we call home. In order to keep our planet safe and try and reverse (the irreversible) damage, we have been trying to become cleaner. This initiative has been working in some places more than others.
While we most of us would love to live in a very clean place, the reality is that everybody doesn't live the same lives and don't all have the same resources for that the be possible. We are a long way away as a country from being able to call ourselves a clean country, but we are beginning to take the necessary steps to do so. With that being said, there are multiple Michigan cities that land on the list of the dirtiest in the country.
Lawnstarter took a look at the 300 biggest cities in the United States and ranked them based upon their cleanliness. They used many factors such as air pollution, water quality, waste management, and resident dissatisfaction levels and 21 other metrics. All of the metrics were than compiled into an overall score.
The results would find that 5 Michigan cities were ranked in the list, ranging from the top of the list to basically the bottom. Here are the 5 Michigan cities that were considered in the rankings and their overall score:
