Michigan: Don’t Answer Scam Calls From These Area Codes

I know that I hate spam calls as much as everybody else and the "Scam Likely" Caller ID that some phone providers have been able to add to their software has helped, but we still get way too many of them. Having to ignore those calls gets repetitive and annoying as they take over your screen or make your phone buzz. Blocking the numbers doesn't work because they just find a new one and it makes me wonder what's stopping us from being like Indiana and joining the Do Not Call List.

With that being said, you can register your phone number for the Do Not Call Registry if that's something you would like to have but the State of Michigan is not one of the 11 states that is on the Do Not Call List. So for now, we will continue having to deal with all of the spam and scam calls that we get every single day. This area code is associated with the Turks and Caicos Islands but is also known to be used by scammers for various types of fraud.

This area code is associated with the British Virgin Islands but is also known to be used by scammers for various types of fraud.
