Many of us are pet owners as we either grew up with pets in our home or always wanted to have pets growing up and finally had the opportunity to own one. Owning a pet may have tons of fun, love, and excitement but there's arguably more work involved than anything else.

One of every pet owner's biggest fears is losing their animal or the animal running away at some point. Firstly, nobody wants to be running after their pet, but they also don't want their pet to be hit by a car, taken by someone else, shot, or any other kind of harm. In response to this, many pet owners have gotten their pets microchipped so if something was to happen, they can be found.

These microchips aren't GPS devices, but they do have all of the pet's important information and their owner's contact information as well. Unfortunately, for some pet owners they may unknowingly lost that service after the recent news of one national microchipping business closing.

This wasn't like other business closures, this business just went dark without telling anyone, leaving many pet owners without services or knowledge. Save This Life, a national microchipping business that is located in Texas but affects a large portion of the country.

Nobody has any information about why Save This Life closed, but their phone number directs all callers to an out of service message while Google says they are permanently closed. Michigan pet owners are encouraged to have their groomers or vets check their microchip or get another installed if they know it is a Save This Life chip.
