Michigan Plane Makes Emergency Landing At Ford Airport
As someone who has taken several flights in my life, getting on an airplane is almost second nature at this point. I don't think about most of the dangers that could occur during a flight because they haven't happened to me. Sure, I've experienced turbulence but nothing that has made me feel unsafe at any point.

I will say, flying through storms can be a bit scary but I still haven't feared my life at any point. I don't knock anyone who has trouble with getting on a plane or is afraid to fly for the first time. It's a new experience that can be hard to handle for people because they have zero control of what happens.
Every pilot is taught how to handle several different types of situations, including catastrophic or tragic situations. These are the horror stories that we think of planes having to do emergency crash landings somewhere. Most of the time that we think of this we think of being stranded in the middle of a desert, jungle, ocean, or some random field.
Although this does happen from time to time, it's more likely that these emergency landings are happening on a runway than anywhere else. In fact, they are more common than some may think, as there was an emergency landing Wednesday morning in Michigan.
At around 8am on Wednesday, January 22nd, a small plane made an emergency landing at the Gerald R Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ford's Airport Emergency team responded to a call from the aircraft which had taken off from a nearby public airfield.
There was no specific cause for the emergency landing given but they did confirm that the plane did not slip off. There were no injuries report, and the alert was resolved by 9:20am.
