That was the case when this Michigan woman was arrested and charged for embezzlement against a little league. First, for those who may not know, embezzlement is taking money for personal use under the guise of another program. Yes, if you're putting two and two together, she allegedly stole from kids for her own personal gain.

43-year-old Christina Renee-Somers Richardson was arraigned in court for allegedly embezzling at least $100,000 from a little league baseball financial account. The felony charges are being brought against her in Midland County District Court which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison and a fine up to $50,000.

Richardson is being charged after an investigation that began in September revealed several unusual financial transactions coming from the Bullock Creek Little League account. Richardson's LinkedIn account shows that she is the Bullock Creek Little League Treasurer dating back to 2017.

Richardson has since posted a $1,000 bond and is awaiting a pretrial hearing which is currently scheduled to take place in Judge Michael D. Carpenter's courtroom at the Midland County District Courthouse on Tuesday, February 25th at 1pm.

At the time there are no details on the exact amount of money that was embezzled from the account and what the money was used to purchase.
