Two Suspects Arrested In Michigan Carjacking
Car thefts have become much more prevalent in the last couple of years and the methods have continued to evolve over time. At one time, the only way to steal a vehicle was to break into it and hotwire it or wait for someone to leave their car running and hop inside. Now people are able to make copies of keys or use other tools to remotely unlock and start vehicles.

This has led to several grand auto thefts and stolen car rings to pop up all over the country including Michigan. The times of leaving your car running while quickly running inside your home or to purchase something from a store are long gone. Now, people are anxious about their car being stolen and are triple checking that they locked their doors.
For some people, the police are able to locate their vehicle and return it to them safely while others are unfortunate as their car ends up resold overseas or involved in a crash. In the event that the car is recovered, most of the time the person(s) found with the vehicle are prosecuted for at least its possession.
