Ham On The Move: Wild Pigs Roam This Michigan City

Having pets is something that a lot of families have and what others desire as it does take a lot of money, time, and effort to take care of them. There are some common pets like dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, birds, and other small animals which are what most families have, but not all. There are those families out there that like to house exotic pets such as snakes, lizards, horses, and other farm or wild animals. Michigan is one of the states that allows you to have exotic animals as pets, but farm animals are usually kept on farms.

With that being said, you will find the occasional chicken or goat within a residential neighborhood alongside the lizards and snakes. For the most part these animals are accepted in their communities as long as they are quiet and don't cause problems but not all animals are created equally. I'm not sure how I would react if I were to stumble around my neighborhood but that's exactly what the residents in this Michigan city experienced.

While scrolling on TikTok, I stopped in my tracks when I saw what I thought was a pig running around a residential street. Once I realized it was a pig, I was intrigued on how it ended up in the area but once I noticed it was running around the streets of Detroit, Michigan I was absolutely floored. This isn't even the FIRST time that Detroit has had a wild pig running around the streets of the city, in fact the most recent time was just 3 months ago. That also wasn't the first time someone had discovered a wild pig in the city as a hoarder was holding one in his basement before he passed, and they found the hog while cleaning out his home.
