Full House Star From Michigan Battling Cancer
Many of us can remember sitting in front of a television set in the 90s and early 2000s enjoying some of the best sitcoms the world has ever seen. We could spend hours talking about the hundreds of different sitcoms that have had a chance to dazzle us, but just like everything else in the world, there were some that are better than the others.

One of the extremely popular shows from this time was Full House, for those that were too young or don't quite remember this was all about a widowed father who dragged his best friend and brother-in-law into helping him raise his three daughters. Over the course of the first 3 seasons, the men bonded with the girls and figured out how to make it work.
Although the show never had an abundance of success it was always in the Top 30 of the Nielsen ratings and was eventually given a sequel series, Fuller House, on Netflix which ran for 5 seasons as well. Although so much good has come from this show, there is some bad news attached to it.
One of the stars in the show, Dave Coulier, who was Joey Gladstone, has announced that he has been battling cancer. The St Clair Shores, Michigan native was on his Full House Rewind podcast with cohost Marla Sokoloff when he said battling stage 3 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which he revealed back in November.
Coulier has already undergone 3 surgeries and one of six chemo treatments, in result his bone marrow test came back negative, effectively boosting his survival chances to 90%. He says that he feels good but is adjusting to not having hair as its cold here in Michigan and he didn't realize how much hair play a role in keeping you warm.
His biggest battles are dealing with all of the side effects from his surgeries and treatments which also have side effects. All of the different side effects cause him to take a variety of prescribed pills which keeps his body in a fight or flight mode.
He says he hopes his battle with cancer and his willingness to be open about it encourages other people to go and get screened as early or as much as they see fit to give themselves a fighting chance against anything that may try and attack them. The other motivation he has for fighting is to see the birth of his first grandchild as his son Luc and his wife are expecting.
