According to MLive, a 29-year-old woman from Warren was hit and killed in the parking lot at Alex's Market & Grill in Holly Township on Sunday, July 27, around 6:30 p.m. The woman was loading a child into her vehicle while holding her 1-year-old daughter when a driver of a Ford truck hit the woman and ran over her and her child.

The 72-year-old driver was arrested, while police received a search warrant to obtain blood since he was under suspicion of narcotics impairment. Police are still investigating while awaiting the medical results from the blood draw.
