Do you remember the first time you flew on an airplane?

I was in my mid-20s and was so nervous that I thought I was going to throw up.

All I did was worry about getting to the airport, finding a parking spot, checking my bag, going through security, and finally getting my bag into the overhead compartment and squeezing myself into the middle seat.
Thankfully, the flight was smooth, and we landed in Miami with no problems.
Since then, I've visited several other states and got to visit countries like Costa Rica, Ireland, and England.
But since the beginning of the year, after several U.S. plane crashes happening within weeks, I've been a bit apprehensive about making any travel plans.

Even if you have no fear of flying, there are many places that Michiganders are warned against flying to for many different reasons.
These reasons are considered by the U.S. State Department when issuing advisories for Americans traveling abroad.
