There is a man in Detroit who has taken strange cars to the next level, with a vehicle that he modified from two Chrysler minivans to make one car that has two front ends, which are back to back.

Imagine two front ends of mini vans cut in half and then sandwiched together and that is the vehicle that Detroit resident Zach Sutton rides around in every day.

Recently, USA Today Cars caught up with him to talk about his creation, and just how one person to make a car like this:

They’re basically two Chrysler minivans that I cut in half and took the front halves and welded them together. I like making stuff, I like working on stuff but I wanted something that was a little more creative than just a normal car project. The reaction is always either confusion or hilarity.

When talking about what kind of reaction he gets on the road, it’s what you would basically expect and how you would react:

You’ll definitely get looks driving down the highway, and I’ll see someone drive by me. Just cracking up to themselves.

But although the car may look weird, it runs just the same as any other car:

Handling this car is pretty much exactly like a 1993 minivan. It’s unresponsive and pushy, and I think the only exception is that the rear springs are stiffer now.

I also love that his license plate for the vehicle is BAK2BAK. I think he and Steve, who owns the Big Banana Car here in Kalamazoo, need to find other strange car owners and host their own car show.

It should come as no surprise that the Gilmore Car Museum in Richland, The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, and the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant in Detroit were given the top spots according to a Auto Trader survey.
