ICP Just Showed Up On AEW TV For The First Time In 26 Years

After nearly 26 years, the Detroit hip-hop group Insane Clown Posse returned to national television, appearing on All Elite Wrestling Dynamite, which was recorded at the Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit.

The last time the Insane Clown Posse was on a Turner station, or national television at all for wrestling, was on September 25, 2000, on WCW Nitro.

Although known for their music, the Insane Clown Posse have been wrestlers since their teenage years, forming friendships with WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam and others at a young age; they have had their own professional wrestling company, Juggalo Championship Wrestling, for over 20 years.

Every time professional wrestling comes to Detroit, people wonder if Insane Clown Posse will be embraced. WWE has shown they want nothing to do with the group, even though originally, ICP was brought in to work with the company in 1998 and even wrestled in trade for promotion for their new album at the time.

After the group felt they were not being compensated for their time, they ended up no-showing and leaving the company permanently. Many are hoping them being invited to AEW will be the start of a crossover between AEW and the JCW roster.

Interestingly enough, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope are two of few wrestlers who can say that they have been involved in the top six promotions of all time, according to one person who commented on their video:

WWF. WCW. ECW. TNA. NWA. And now AEW. No one else can claim that. Except Mick Foley, as someone pointed out. But that's even better. Only J, Shaggy, and Foley are on that list.
