Historic Field Of Dreams To Host Northwoods League All-Stars
Michigan players in the Northwoods league are in store for one of the most memorable bowl games they will ever play in their lives, as the Northwoods league has announced that the 2026 season's All-Star game will be played at the legendary Field of Dreams movie site.
Players from the Kalamazoo Growlers, Battle Creek Battle Jacks, Traverse City Pit Spitters, and the most recently added Royal Oak Leprechauns will have a chance to play at this legendary field, which was the site of the 1989 film starring James Earl Jones and Kevin Costner.

The Northwoods League was excited to share the news on Facebook as they described the field and the excitement leading up to the game:
The iconic 297-acre Field of Dreams site is transforming into a world-class destination for sports, education and community impact. The Field of Dreams movie debuted in 1989 and the site has since hosted high-profile events like MLB games and concerts. We had three players named to the 2024 All-Star game, tied for fourth-most in the Great Lakes division.
The field is located at 28995 Lansing Rd. in Dyersville, Iowa, and has been home to quite a few Major League Baseball games already, and they are already inviting fans to join the fun that will take place on July 7 and 8th:
As part of a two-day event, The Field of Dreams Movie Site will also host the Northwoods League Home Run Challenge on Tuesday, July 7. The Home Run Challenge will comprise Northwoods League Baseball players from the Great Lakes and Great Plains divisions.
It looks like the players have something to play a little harder for this year.
