Here Are All The Renaissance Festivals In Michigan In 2024

Every year in Michigan tens of thousands of people participate in a tradition that has been a long-standing summer event and attraction in the state for a long time. Every summer going into the fall, thousands of people will dress up in their finest garb, notify their fair maiden or liege, and traverse the wooded forest in collection with others for the annual Renaissance Festival.

The Renaissance Festival held in Holly every single year has a long-standing history as being Michigan’s premier Renaissance Festival. The Ren Fest as it is more well-known has been around for a long time, getting started all the way back in 1979 when it was originally held in Clarkston until they relocated it to Holly in 1989 to Hollygrove.

That particular festival will be holding themed weekends this upcoming summer, including Pirates and Pups, Highland Fling, Vikings Invasion, Wonders of the World, Shamrocks and Shenanigans, Harvest Huzzah, Festival Friday, and Sweet Endings.

But it’s more than just them who are going to be taking part in the tradition, as other cities have their own festivals that they throw. There are quite a few choices to make when it comes to which one to go to. As long as they got the massive turkey leg and strong mead...I'm in. Now I just have to find out what store carries Renaissance-type clothing.
