The Detroit Lions are set to take on the Dallas Cowboys for Thursday Night Football on December 4, and it has been announced that the Temptations will be in attendance to perform all their big hits, including "My Girl," "Just My Imagination," "Get Ready," and "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" during halftime.

Normally, a bigger deal is made about the halftime show played on Thanksgiving, but this halftime performance is going to be huge, as the Temptations are one of the most popular Motown bands of all time.

The fact of the matter is that many people don’t understand that a band can evolve through the years, but what's special is the music and what it gives us and where it takes us back to.

The truth is Otis Williams is the last original member of the band; however, Ron Tyson has been with the band since the mid-80s. Tony Grant joined in 1997, and Terry Weeks and Juwan Jackson are the newest members of the group, but that doesn’t take anything away from the performance, which Ford Field was excited to announce:

Did you hear the news? Motown’s very own Temptations will be performing at halftime of the Detroit Lions game on December 4! With their signature dance moves and unmistakable harmonies, The Temptations - signed by Motown in 1961 - quickly rose to the top of the charts, forever cementing themselves in history by transforming the landscape of music before being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

The Lions were then led by Bobby Ross and saw scoring touchdowns by Germane Crowell in the first quarter, then Greg Hill and Johnny Morton in the second quarter, which would prove to be enough by the end of the 4th. The game was a sell-out of 77,905, which is not unusual for these games.
