Ten years might not seem like a long time ago, but for some people - especially Tigers fans - it's felt like a lifetime.

This past two months has been a fairy tale for Tigers fans, as they went from starting preparations for next season (a 0.1% chance to make the playoffs to start the month of August), to being the hottest team in baseball, going 17-7 in the month of September, and quickly preparing for bonus baseball in Detroit for the first time in a decade.

The Tigers were in rough shape in July. Not QUITE last in their division (thanks to the now record-breakingly-bad Chicago White Sox), but something switched in their brains about August, and what has historically been one of the tightest years for Major League Baseball, suddenly put the playoffs in play for Detroit.

And now, here we are. Tuesday, the Tigers will play their first playoff game in a decade. It ended one of the longest playoff droughts in the MLB, which made us wonder... what was life like the last time the Tigers were playing baseball in October?
