Michigan Check Your Freezers: Tyson Chicken Patties Recalled
I'm like a recall king, but I can't help it. I want to make sure that the products I'm using around my home or choosing to eat to gain nutrients are okay to consume or use. Household products don't get recalled as often and the only recall that's as scary as a food recall is one on a vehicle. Both of these recalls put your life in serious danger and if you aren't aware then tragedy can strike.
Earlier this year, Trader Joe's had a string of recalls on some of their food products. From bugs to rocks there were all kinds of reasons why the chain grocery store favorite had to pull many things from their shelves. This time, they are safe but Tyson Foods is back on the clock after watching the heat pass by. We have seen several Tyson products taken off the shelves in the past, this is just the latest one.
Which Tyson Chicken Product?
Good thing for those that like to smash the Chicken Patty Sandwiches from Tyson, congratulations to you, as those are safe, and you can keep munching away. For those that like Chicken Nuggets, you might need to double check which ones you have to make sure you aren't in danger. Not all chicken nuggets are bad, but these ones aren't good.
Not The Dino Nuggies!!
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has placed a recall on Tyson Chicken Patties. Now, these aren't the round patties you put on a bun, but the shaped ones that you dunk in sauce. We are talking chicken nuggets but not the regular ones, the fun shaped one. What many of us call "Dino Nuggets" have been taken off the shelves by the FDA due to pieces of metal being found inside of them.
Where and What To Look For
They have recalled over 30,000 pounds of these nuggets that were produced September 5th from the shelves, stores, and freezers in Michigan amongst other states like: Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin. The recalled items have the following information on them:
- Best If Used By date of SEP 04, 2024
- Lot codes 2483BRV0207, 2483BRV0208, 2483BRV0209 and 2483BRV0210
- Establishment number P-7211 (located on back of package)
If you have these in your freezer, run a magnet over them and see if yours are safe or not. No, in all seriousness either throw them away or return them for a full refund. If you have concerns because you ingested this item, please consult a doctor.
