Some people underplay the value of a license plate and how cool it can be. I still have every license plate I have ever had registered to a vehicle and I know many other people who have kept theirs as well. For those that have watched the good place then you know that a license plate can make a huge difference in your life.

There are tons of license plate options here in Michigan like the Mackinac Bridge, Water-Winter Wonderland, and Pure Michigan templates for example. As many of us know, vanity license plates have been an option here for a while and my grandma is one of the millions of people across the country that exercise this right.

They are those people we see riding around with a customized license plate that says something significant to them. Once upon a time, I thought this was cool but quickly changed my mind.

In addition to the vanity license plates, Michiganders have the opportunity to use digital license plates as Michigan joins California and Arizona as the only 3 states to legally allow digital license plates to be used. Although they have benefits and are cool, digital license plates are far more expensive than other options.

The state of Michigan is one of the many states around the country that also allows their residents to use license plate covers, but they do come with restrictions. Your plate must still be visible when using a license plate cover and the cover must be clean and transparent.

Ignoring this or any of the other license plate laws could lead to a traffic stop which could result in a ticket. Most of the time, those tickets are just a fair warning to get the matter handled immediately. If you delay your repair or are a repeat offender you could see fines anywhere between $100 and $500 depending on the violation.

Here are some potential Michigan license plate prototype designs that have not been created and released to the public:

Michigan License Plate Prototypes That Were Never Created

These Michigan license plate prototypes never made it to the back of any vehicles as an official design. However they were recently discovered as part of a Secretary of State worker's estate and drawn immediate interest from collectors.
