Let's start off by saying that we do NOT condone drinking and driving by any means. It's okay to have drinks sometimes we do it for fun and other times we have one to let off some steam, either way, not driving afterwards is always the right choice. Calling someone, organizing a designated driver, using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, and even public transportation.

Even with all of that being said and available, there will still be people that will choose to get behind the wheel after drinking. They place themselves and more importantly, everyone else in danger when they are driving intoxicated, which sometimes ends tragically. This isn't a problem that's limited to Michigan or even the United States, this happens around the world.

Detroit Drivers Pass Alcohol Between Cars On Michigan Highway

Speaking of drunk driving in Michigan, what was captured on a Michigan highway this weekend is shocking. A driving instructor, Korey Batey from Detroit Michigan was alarmed when he saw the passenger of a vehicle lean out of the window and sit on the window seal. Thats when he told his Meta Ray-Ban glasses to start recording to capture the unfolding scene.

It had to feel like one of those moments where he went "man, nobody is going to believe me if I don't have proof". What happened next was mind blowing as the passenger pulled out a liquor bottle and the driver in the lane next to him stuck out a cup. The passenger then poured some of the liquor into the cup.

This takes the terms drinking and driving to a whole new level. There hasn't been any news of either of the drivers or the passengers being arrested for their roles in this incident, but I wouldn't be surprised if that were to happen sometime soon. Below is video footage of the wild sequence:

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
