The Michigan DNR has proposed a new schedule that would increase the number of hunting days for Elk.

Rather than deforestation, bald patches in northern Michigan forests are part of the DNR’s habitat plan: aspen cuttings to feed elk and deer in northeastern Lower Peninsula counties.

The tiny invasive tick is only 1mm long and poses a disease risk to birds, mammals, and even humans.

They are hoping to have the arena built and running by next fall and have plans to partner with the therapy and nursing programs at Western Michigan University and Kellogg Community College.

This would come out to be a total of 220 animals and while the investigation is ongoing the suspect’s name is being withheld pending charges.
