Chili’s Reveals Major Change For All Michigan Locations
Chili's has been famous all over the country and been a household name because of their catchy slogan and sweet baby back ribs. Since then, they have continued to expand their menu and dining experience to appeal to customers. Although they have maintained over the years, they got the closure bug during and after the COVID-19 pandemic like most other chain restaurants.
Chili's has been losing locations all over the country but some of them are still standing strong. I think they can give TikTok some thanks for that as their big dipper appetizer has gone viral on the short-length video social media platform. This has sent an influx of customers through their doors, and they are making changes again. Michigan residents that like to eat at Chili's should pay attention to this significant change to the Chili's dining experience.
Chili's announced earlier this week that they would be making a change to the way that customers would be paying for their meals. Chili's is partnering with Ziosk, a Texas based company that specializes in pay-at-the-table platforms. The partnership will bring table-top tablets to Chili's restaurants all over the country. The idea behind the change is to make paying for meals a more efficient and streamlined system that benefits both customers and servers.
The tablets will allow customers to place their orders, ask for additional items, play games, participate in Chili's rewards programs, and pay their bill without having to get up from their table. All of the Michigan locations are among the 90% (1,100) of stores that will be receiving the technology. This isn't quite new for Chili's as they used to work with Ziosk before moving to a company called Presto, their contract ended, and they have returned to Ziosk.
Relax, this does not mean the end of personal service at Chili's restaurants but instead is said to enhance the experience and make serving you easier. There will still be waiters and waitresses at Chili's locations in Michigan, just some things can be handled through the Ziosk.
