Over the last 2 and half years, the Detroit Lions and their fans have been enjoying success that they haven't seen or experienced in decades. Last season, they won the NFC North for the first time in 30 years and this season they are back-to-back division champs for the first time ever.

This success coupled with how well the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings finished their seasons last year and how the Pistons have started their season this year, the city has been buzzing. The Detroit Lions are the favorite to win the Super Bowl this year, which would be their first ever and the playoffs start Saturday, January 18th.

After earning the number #1 overall seed in the NFC Conference, the Lions got to enjoy a first-round bye, before having to defend their home turf. Every playoff game the Lions play this year absent of the Super Bowl will be at Ford Field, giving them the advantage of their fan support.

Speaking of support, the city of Detroit has leaned fully into propelling the team to the ultimate goal. There have been sellout crowds every home game; team merchandise is flooding the streets all across the Michigan, and every is screaming about GRIT, One Pride, and Go Lions Go.

Earlier this year, star wide receiver Amon-Ra St Brown scored a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers. After scoring, he celebrated by doing the league's first headstand celebration. This immediately took off and was viral as the clip reached millions on the internet quickly.

Everyone thought the move was insane to pull off mid-game, but everyone also started to imitate St Brown. Many football players across several levels of the game decided to participate in the headstand trend and then others started to get into the mix as well. A local Detroit man recreated the moment with snow in his front yard.

A well-known bakery in the area took the time to make a cake highlighting the special moment in Detroit sports history. This cake garnered so much attention that St Brown himself stopped by to pay the cake a visit. Now, the city has taken it up a notch in preparation for the playoffs.

The Detroit Riverwalk holds many events while also being one of the main attractions in the city. They had a drone show the earlier this month and they gave a tribute to St Brown and the Lions. There was a portion of the show where they used the drones to show the Detroit Lions logo before recreating the iconic moment.

Below is a video that an attendee captured in the moment:
