FBI Warns Michigan Residents To Block These Numbers in 2025
I think we can all agree by now that constantly having to ignore the numerous random calls and texts that we receive every day. Every once in a while, you will get an important call or someone will get a new number, but for the most part we know what those calls and texts are. Michigan doesn't do anything to stop spam calls but there are a couple things you can do yourself to reduce the headache.
They're the dreaded scam and spam calls and texts that none of us want to deal with. Some of us have taken the step to enroll ourselves onto the do not call list or have used the online tool that tells you if a number is a scam/spam or safe. Always remember to refrain from clicking on links in text messages unless you can confirm they are secure and be aware of AI generated text or images.
With all of that being said, it's still extremely scary and nerve wracking to use the internet knowing that your personal information is available. There may be options like the ones mentioned above to mitigate the number of spam/scam calls and texts you receive but they can't stop them all.
A lot of the spam/scam calls come from outside of the United States but there are several states within America that we have to be wary of as we have scammers here in the US but also, foreigners will use US phone numbers more often because people are more likely to answer numbers near their area than further away.
