Michigan: Check Your Fridge For These Recalled Sausages
I'm not sure what could be done about the way that our products and goods are manufactured not only here in America but in foreign countries as well. I understand that everyone is trying to maximize their profits and cut costs where they can to remain operational but that might be the very problem right there. Instead of trying to be cheap and make money, let's just do the right thing.
We have all heard the saying before, you have to spend money to make money. Yet, we often times see the biggest and most profitable companies spending scraps on their materials and workers needed to create their goods. As this continues to be the norm for the industrial businesses, we will continue to see many products have shortcomings and defections. This will lead to more recalls on products across the world, much like the sausages that are being recalled in Michigan.
Salm Partners, the maker of Johnsonville sausages, recalled more than 35,000 pounds of turkey kielbasa sausage after consumers found pieces of rubber in the product, according to a US Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service announcement. The sausages can be found in most, if not all, grocery stores as consumers are encouraged to check their fridges for the sausages with the following information.
The turkey kielbasa sausages were shipped to retail locations nationwide and have the establishment number “P-32009” printed on the side of the packaging, according to FSIS. They have best by dates of May 17, 2024 and May 18, 2024. As of right now, there have been no adverse health events to occur due to the recalled product but they fear many consumers may have them sitting in their fridges.
If you have the above product in your pantry, fridge, deep freezer, or other food storage places then you should discard all packages of the product immediately. You have two options as to how you would like to dispose of the product, you may either take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund or you can simply just throw it away, it's your choice.
