Survivor is one of the longest-running game shows in American television history as the first episode was released back in 2000. They are already on season 47 in just 24 years and don't look to be slowing down anytime soon. The series takes 16 individuals and places them on a remote island to battle through challenges and navigate connections to be the last one standing.

The series started by choosing different islands in different countries before settling on returning to the island of Fiji for every season. Some people have made themselves super fans who dare miss an episode while others have been training and have dreams of not only competing on Survivor but winning the whole thing. For some people, that dream becomes a reality.

There have been over a dozen different competitors that have represented Michigan in the contest but so far, only one of them has come out on top. The lone Survivor winner from the Mitten State is Kenzie who won season 46 and now there may be another player from Michigan joining her in the winning ranks.

Another Michigan woman is looking to make a run as season 47 is coming to a close. Rachel Lamont of Dexter, Michigan has played her way to the season finale and is looking to bring the crown back home. Lamont is excited to be in this position as she was selected to be an alternate in season 46.

Although she was on the island and ready to compete in the last season she never got the opportunity to do so. This season is much different, as she received the call to be on the cast and has taken full advantage of the chance she was given. She finds herself among the final four and will plead her case to the jury hoping to be chosen as the winner.
