Over the last couple of years, vehicle theft has become a bigger issue than it used to be. Most of the time someone's car was stolen back in the day either someone hotwired it, taken it at gunpoint, or it was your kids trying to sneak out and do something. Now, there are a million and one possibilities on how your car could've been stolen.

At one point it was okay to leave your car running while you run inside of your home or store for a quick stop, now you can't do that or you'll be coming out to no car as someone will hop in the driver's seat and take off. Also, the age of car thieves has dramatically dropped and many of them are no older than 12-14 years old.

They have started to come up with devices that can hook up to your wifi and use your key fob or phone to unlock your car doors and take off with your car. They have even started to invade homes looking for key fobs to make stealing the vehicles easier. Keeping your keys with you at all times or in another safe location and not leaving your car running are the easiest ways to keep your car safe from theft.

I think we have all heard of the Kia boys by now, well they are still around and are stealing more than just Kias as they continue to change their methods to adapt to the safety measures vehicle owners are taking.

Enough of the rah-rah behind car stealing and how to keep yourself safe, below are the 10 most stolen vehicles in Michigan by their make and model:
