Western Michigan Football Sends Jon Gruden Special Package
Jon Gruden is one of the most notable names in sports as he had a long-standing career as both a player and a coach before becoming an analyst and starting the "Jon Gruden QB Camp". He never made it to the professional ranks as player but was the backup quarterback for the Dayton Flyers during his college days. He started as a position coach in the college realm before working all the way up to a head coach in the NFL.

Now, Gruden spends most of his time combing through the film of college quarterbacks, mostly those that have the most hype or are top draft prospects. He will then invite many of those quarterbacks in to discuss the film, the game of football, and how they can have a prosperous career. He has since shifted this from ESPN to Barstool Sports and changed the name to Gruden's QB Class.
Many college teams have become fond of the work that Gruden has done over the years and respects his craft for the quarterback position. It seems as if the teams are starting to understand that few people see the game of football and the quarterback position like Gruden does. Social media and the influence it has on the world has changed so much.
Due to the popularity that Gruden has amassed over the years, teams have started to pander to the QB guru in whatever ways they can find possible. Free tickets and hook ups at home games, special shoutouts, and even care packages with custom apparel. This is nothing new but is still fascinating to see.
There are several colleges in Michigan that have had success on the gridiron including the University of Michigan and Michigan State University, who don't need to do any pandering. On the contrary, a school like Western Michigan University who has had some bright spots but also some struggles, sure could use some extra help.
