Indoor waterparks are one of the greatest attractions ever created by the human brain. Being able to enjoy the water, water slides, water activities, and other pool-related things no matter the time of year. Especially being up here in the northern part of the country, the winter months can be a drag.

Just a couple of hours away from here, in the magical Christmas land that is Frankenmuth, Michigan sits the state's largest indoor waterpark, Zehnder's Splash Village. Zehnder's provides a waterpark, arcade, nightly activities, and more putting it in the elite company of Kalahari as a comparison. So, let's splash into Zehnder's village.

First off the best part is the hotel that is attached so you don't have to worry about finding lodging elsewhere, but let's talk about this waterpark shall we? From family and individual tube rides, body slides, 4-story tube slides, lazy rivers, swim-up bars, and more there's water fun for the entire family.

The fun doesn't stop inside the waterpark though, there are a few other attractions on the premises that draw an audience. The first is the large arcade and other nightly activities like movies, plays, etc that take place throughout the hotel/outside for attendees to enjoy. They also have a Christmas lights show that is displayed year-round as Frankenmuth is the state's Christmas capital.

Zehner's even have their own golf course by the name of "The Fortress" which is only a short walk from downtown. There are over 6,000 yards of beautiful playable greens that make up an 18-hole, par 72 course for anyone avid or new golfers to try their luck on. They also have a restaurant, bakery, sweet goods, and gift shop in the lobby that has delectable treats.

Zehner's may not have the same things and hype as Kalahari but it's just about as good(which means it may be a little more affordable). Either way, this is a family vacation within the state that can make the winter a little more bearable.
