The automotive industry has been all over the headlines since the beginning of the year, most of that publicity is due to the tariffs that have been imposed on foreign goods and how that is affecting the industry. Not only is this affecting the materials used in the manufacturing process of many American vehicles but also the sticker price of imported cars.

The state of Michigan has been a large player in the automotive trade since the founding of Ford Motor Company and there are several vehicle manufacturers who have headquarters and factories in the Mitten State. Many manufacturers and dealerships are concerned about the impact the tariffs could have in the long run.

Kalamazoo's Zeigler Automotive Expanding With Jeep Franchise Acquisition

Zeigler Automotive may be feeling the same way as some of these other dealers but their recent move may suggest otherwise. In these troubling times, Zeigler Automotive has made the decision to expand not only their reach but their inventory as well. Zeigler purchased the former Jeep LaFontaine in Kalamazoo and will be adding it to their catalog.

Zeigler will now be offering Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram under a single roof at 4201 Stadium Dr. Effective immediately, they changed the name of the dealership to Zeigler Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Kalamazoo, what a mouthful! All of the Jeep inventory at LaFontaine was relocated 0.3 miles to the East to the Zeigler lot immediately.

This continues to add to the Zeigler legacy as they are one of the largest privately owned dealer groups with 84 franchises across 41 locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. They are now one of the premiere Stellantis brand dealers in Southwest Michigan.
