Battle Creek Remembers Slain Teen With Jack Snyder Way
There are a few things that are guaranteed in life and unfortunately one of them is the end of our lives. Every single person that takes a breath on Earth will stop breathing but it happens differently for everyone. Some of us will be blessed to live long and prosperous lives while others are taken from the world way too soon.

One of the hardest parts of death is all of the people who are left living and have to find a way to continue on with life. Grief is very difficult for those people who have lost a loved one as the faintest sound, smell, or thing could send them through a whirlwind of emotions. It never gets better; it just gets easier over time.
One of the things we hold on to when someone has passed are the memories, both the good and the bad ones. Thinking about how we should have cherished the good moments even more and if we could've done something to minimize the bad moments, either way, those memories become sacred.
Heard Of Jack Snyder Way? The New Intersection In Battle Creek
It's even worse when something happens in a small community like Battle Creek. The impact of someone's death can spread through the entire community causing rippling effects. We have seen many people be celebrated or honored after their deaths because of the impact they had in their community.
For example, there are stadiums and gyms named after athletes, there are buildings named after former workers, airports named after presidents, park benches named after first responders and more. This is a common practice in Michigan as there are several markers in remembrance of remarkable humans all over the state.

In 2023, Jack Snyder an exceptional stand out senior at Battle Creek Central High School lost his life in an attempted carjacking gone wrong. Many people in Battle Creek were hurt when hearing the news as Jack was known for his kind spirit and warm smile. Since then, many wanted to see justice for Jack, and they were granted this luxury.
On top of this, they were given another gift from the City of Battle Creek that I don't think they were expecting. WWMT via MSN reports:
Battle Creek commissioners approved to name the intersection of Battle Creek Avenue and Capital Avenue SW in honor of 17-year-old Jack Snyder during their Tuesday night meeting.
This is the first time that Battle Creek has been given this kind of honor to someone in the city and Jack's dad, Kevin Snyder says this:
Jack's kindness got him killed, and I don't want others to be afraid to be kind in their community. I hope that by naming the intersection to "Jack Snyder Way," people will not only remember Jack, but the example he set.
Jack will always be remembered in one of the busiest intersections in the city.
