Michigan: The Pink Full Moon Smallest Mirco Moon In 5 years
The phases of the moon are one of the most interesting things we have in our universe as depending on the month, day, and time the moon looks different. It's also a way for us to be able to tell time while being here on Earth, if you think about it, each month goes through a full moon so the moon can help you keep track of the days and months as they pass.

Everyone call tell you that the full moons and the solstices are the phases that get the most attention even though there are several other phases that occur. The solstices are popular because they don't happen as often as the other phases and also are the only times that the sun and moon cover each other completely.
Michigan: Smallest Micro Moon in 5 years Is This Weekend's Full Pink Moon
This month, just like every other month, we will experience a full moon but one thing they don't tell you is that each month's full moon is different than the others. Some of those moons are supermoons, others are colored, and others have been given special names. This month's full moon is often called the Pink Moon.
Unfortunately, the moon will not be pink but instead the name comes from the pink moss and spring wildflowers that bloom in early Spring. The pink moon will be in full effect at 8:22 p.m. on Saturday but will also look like a full moon on Friday and Sunday night as well.
This month's moon is known as a Micro Moon, but no this doesn't mean that the moon is smaller than it normally is. Well, technically anyway, because the moon will appear smaller this month due to its distance away from the Earth. We haven't seen a moon this small since Halloween night of 2020 which makes this weekend's moon the smallest and weakest of the year.
The full moon will be visible from Michigan on Saturday night but as mentioned above both Friday and Sunday night the moon will appear to be full as well. This month's full moon will be 406,006 kilometers away making this one extra special.
