Student loans have been helpful to students for decades now as it allows them to borrow the money from the federal and state governments to help pay for school. Of course, this leads to some debt down the line and trouble advancing in life but most of that works itself out. Student loans and other funding resources can be accessed by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The State of Michigan is looking for ways to help students out by encouraging them to fill out the FAFSA. Michigan officials have started the "Ticket to Tuition" giveaway which will give students a chance to win $50,000 just for completing the FAFSA. The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement and Potential partnered with the Michigan College Access Network for the giveaway.
